The Interdepartmental Center for Environmental Research, IRCEnv (CIRAm) and Artificial Intelligence

Scientific research is seeing rapid progress, driven by technological advances and the growing need to address global challenges. Modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and big data analytics have become essential tools that accelerate discoveries and improve the accuracy of results. Furthermore, scientific research is increasingly adopting an interdisciplinary approach, in which fields such as biotechnology, physics, environmental sciences, and engineering converge to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. Another significant trend is the focus on sustainability and environmental protection, with ongoing developments in renewable energy, natural resource management, and climate adaptation strategies.

To this aim, the Egyptian Society for Environmental Sciences (ESES) is hosting its ninth conference, "Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Research," and has invited Giulia Guerriero, director of CIRAm and an honorary member of ESES since 2009, to speak as the keynote speaker on the topic.
